Human Resources Executive Ivan Viera Joins WRAP Staff

Arlington, VA, January 31, 2008 – WRAP, the Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production organization, has announced the addition of Ivan M. Viera, an attorney and human resources executive with 30 years of supply chain and apparel industry experience, to its staff as head of field operations. WRAP recently changed its name to reflect its increasing involvement as the certifying agency for ethical working conditions in labor-intensive manufacturing facilities around the world.

“Ivan brings an incredible wealth of experience to WRAP,” said Steve Jesseph, President and CEO. “He has worked in and consulted with in factories in all major apparel producing countries. With his direct experience at the factory, regional and corporate level as an attorney and human resources executive, he brings a vast knowledge base that will help take our factory training and certification programs to an even higher level.”

Mr. Viera’s experience includes roles in human resources management, law departments including employee relations and immigration law, and social compliance. He has held positions at Sara Lee Branded Apparel, Constangy Brooks & Smith, Warnaco and Russell Corporation.

“Ivan is one of the apparel industry’s leaders in the field of social compliance and factory monitoring,” added Charles Masten, WRAP’s Chairman. “We feel very fortunate to have someone of his caliber on our staff. He was truly one of the pioneers in helping develop training and management solutions when the challenges of working conditions in apparel and footwear factories around the world began emerging fifteen years ago.”
